About Us
Who is Ray Compton?
Ray Compton is the 17-year-old founder of Reclaimed Auto Care. He started the business in Elmore County, Alabama, built on three things: faith, excellence, and a genuine desire to serve the community. He personally handles every booking and every detail — there is no crew, no middleman. When you book, you get Ray.
Why is the business called Reclaimed Auto Care?
The name reflects what we do — take something that looked tired or neglected and restore it to something you're proud of. It's about reclaiming value, taking care of what you already have, and doing the work right. That philosophy applies to every vehicle we touch.
General
Do you really come to me?
Yes — we are fully mobile and detail your vehicle at your home or workplace anywhere in the Elmore County area, including Prattville, Millbrook, Montgomery, Wetumpka, and Pike Road. We're working toward purchasing our own self-contained water and power equipment, but don't have it yet, so we'll need access to a nearby power outlet and water source at the service location.
What are your hours?
Our hours vary by day: Monday 7am–8pm, Tuesday 5:30–8pm, Wednesday 7am–5:30pm, Friday 5:30–8pm, and Saturday 7am–7pm. We are closed Thursday and Sunday. Booking ahead secures your preferred time slot — especially for paint correction and ceramic coating work.
Are you licensed and insured?
Fully licensed and insured. Your vehicle is in careful, accountable hands from the first rinse to the final wipe-down.
How do I find the best mobile detailer near me in Elmore County?
Look for a detailer who is licensed and insured, communicates clearly about what's needed on-site, and stands behind the work with a satisfaction guarantee. Reclaimed Auto Care checks all three boxes across Prattville, Millbrook, Montgomery, Wetumpka, and Pike Road — see our service area pages for details specific to your city.
How much does mobile detailing cost near Prattville, AL?
Exterior and interior details start around $130 and scale up with vehicle size, and full paint correction or ceramic coating packages run higher depending on vehicle size and condition. See Services for current pricing, or contact us for an exact quote.
Services & Process
How long does a full detail take?
Most full details take three to five hours depending on the vehicle size and condition. Paint correction and ceramic coatings are scheduled separately as they are multi-stage, multi-hour services.
What is a ceramic coating, and is it worth it?
A ceramic coating is a professional-grade protective layer that bonds to your paint, making it hydrophobic, UV-resistant, and far easier to keep clean. Our Covenant Coatings program protects your finish for years — the best long-term investment for a vehicle you intend to keep.
What is the difference between paint correction and a wash?
A wash cleans the surface; paint correction removes defects from within the clear coat — swirls, light scratches, and oxidation — using multi-stage machine polishing to restore depth and gloss. It is the prep we recommend before a ceramic coating.
Booking & Payment
What's included in the maintenance wash?
Starting at $45 depending on vehicle size, we do a quick exterior wash — foam pre-soak, hand wash, wheels, and a wipe-down — to keep your vehicle showroom-ready between full details. It requires a completed full exterior detail on file first.
What do you need from me on the day?
Access to the vehicle and a bit of space to work, plus a nearby power outlet and water source. We're working toward purchasing our own self-contained water and power equipment, but don't have it yet, so we do need to use yours for now. We confirm the details when we lock in your booking.
What if I am not satisfied?
We do not leave until the work meets our standard. If something is not right, we fix it before we go — that is our 100% satisfaction guarantee.
